Pusteblume International Preschool provides children with a fun and community-oriented multicultural environment where instruction in the German and Spanish language serves as a catalyst for the development of each child’s unique cultural identity.
Our licensed, native-speaking, early childhood educators focus on providing quality instruction in a warm and nurturing setting that cultivates the growth and development of your child. Music, movement, literacy, and visual arts are an integral part of the preschool curriculum.
We welcome families with children from 2 to 5 years of age of all international backgrounds who are interested in having their child learn either German or Spanish, or BOTH as a second language. And please check out our range of afterschool language immersion activities for school-age children!
Pusteblume International Preschool is directed by Friends of the German International School of New York, Inc., a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation.
Please join us for our first Open House for the 2015/16 school year.

One Day Art Camp – Veteran’s Day 11/11/14
School closed? Have your child join us for an art camp at Pusteblume. We have a lot of art activites planned, but main focus will be Laternebasteln (lantern crafting) just in time for our Laternelaufen (lantern parade) in Central Park on Saturday, November 15th.
When the weather is not cooperating, come in and enjoy 2 hours of family fun with your children ages 0 to 12 in Pusteblume’s great indoor play space. Playdates are in GERMAN and SPANISH.
Kids! Come play in one of the designated classrooms, color or craft, tumble and dance in our gross motor room and watch a Sendung mit der Maus or fun Spanish show when you need a rest.
Parents! Spend some quality time with your children in a fun environment with different toys and books. Afterwards explore the neighborhood with a stroll on the Highline and lunch at many of the fabulous area restaurants or Chelsea Market (good shopping there, too).
Best of all… meet other families that speak German and Spanish!
Time: 10AM – 12PM
Donation: $20 per child | $15 per sibling
